Kinkakuji is my favourite place in Kyoto along with Kiyomizu-dera.
I really like Kiyomizu-dera, but there were way too many people in Kinkakuji when I went to fully appreciate it. Maybe another time when it’s less crowded, although I don’t know when that would be.
