Traditional Japanese Boat Launching in Takamatsu

On Saturday, the traditional Japanese boat that was built at Bengal Island was launched. For reasons beyond my control (I had to work that morning, when I usually don’t work on Saturday mornings these days… Grrrr…) I couldn’t attend. I’m not too happy about that.

However, in order to be able to show it to you at least a little on this blog, Douglas Brooks – the head of the project – had the extreme kindness to provide me with a few pictures from the launching. Here they are:

Traditional Japanese Boat Launching - 1

Traditional Japanese Boat Launching - 2

Traditional Japanese Boat Launching - 3

For more details of the launching, I warmly invite you to check the source of these pictures, that is Doug’s blog.

Once again, many many thanks to Douglas Brooks, Koji Matano and Takumi Suzuki for those 44 days.
