It’s harvesting time in the Nori fields of the Seto Inland Sea

This morning, I was walking by the coast like I often do and there was some activity in the nori (laver) fields. Harvest time has started. However, it’s not like your usual cereal field, it spreads over quite some time.

Anyway, here are a couple of pictures and a video that’s… well, let’s say that it’s one of the worst videos I have shot from a technical point of view (on my phone, zoom pushed to the max at times, I mumbler quite a bit), but probably also one of the most interesting as far as documenting a little known aspect of every day life in the Seto Inland Sea.
