Tsuda no Matsubara

A few weeks ago, I returned to the town of Tsuda, just east of Takamatsu, for the first time in 5 years or so, to stop at one of the most beautiful spots in Kagawa (I know, Kagawa has a lot of “one of the most beautiful spots” the competition is indeed harsh).

It’s Tsuda no Matsubara, also known as Kinrin Park.

A park located by the sea, right next to a beautiful beach, that has the particularity to be a place where very old pines grow – and by very old, I mean several centuries old. Of course, the oldest trees are scared, as you can see with the nawa (sacred ropes) that circle some of them.

The atmosphere there is just great, soothing, beautiful. It reminds me of one of my favorite parts of France, one I dearly miss, the Landes.
