This title is a translation of “le Japon Rive Gauche“, the name of an exhibit that starts in Paris on Saturday. I mentioned it a little while ago on my French blog, but in case anyone here is in Paris and doesn’t read French, a few lines about it in English could be useful.
So between August 30th and October 18, Le Bon Marché department store organizes an exhibit in collaboration with Benesse Art Site about Naoshima.
From what I understand the exhibit will be devoted to all the art sites on the island, and more particularly the ones related to Tadao Ando. He will even be there on September 2nd for a talk I assume.
I’m sure a bunch of other things will be there (I’ve heard about films depicting life on Naoshima, Inujima and Teshima), but I’m not sure what exactly. If you’re in Paris don’t miss it (and drop a few lines here to tell us about what you saw).
